Come hear the story of the Battle of Great Bridge
Award-winning historian John V. Quarstein will bring to life the story of this important Revolutionary War battle, fought along a causeway and bridge crossing the western branch of the Elizabeth River. The victory by the Continental Army and militia forces led to the destruction of Norfolk and the British abandonment of Virginia in spring of 1776. We hope to see you there!
